Thanks Svenman, always nice to get compliments for the things you collect. I have only been collecting for a 8 months or so, so obviously my collection is nothing compared with some of the one´s on this board. But I am happy with it, there´s not a piece in it I have regrets about and I love to look at the works each day here in my home in Copenhagen. I would love to add a Greg Simkins piece though, only problem... Gf doesn´t like it. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Some beautiful pieces there. Nice to see a different "style" of collector on the boards. I take it you're from the UK? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Love the Holly Thoburn - been watching her for awhile now. You've amassed quite the collection after only 8 months!

You've amassed quite the collection after only 8 months! Hey Stephen, thanks for your compliment, appreciate it. I know my taste is different compared to a lot of the other collections here, but we do have a thing in common and that´s what matters. I am actually from Denmark, but I guess I am mostly into the "British" scene, so your guess wasn´t far off. And Denmark isn´t very big (5.5 million citizens), so I don´t speak loud about my nationality (just did). ;D I do have other pieces though, also a couple of Adam Smith paintings which I am very thrilled with, I really like Adam´s work. Funny that you mention Holly, I actually found her work earlier this year, asked for a huge commision (the one I posted) and I was amazed with the result. I was so amazed that I showed her work to Frankie at Campbarbossa, he instantly started to represent her and since then she has gotten a lot of attention which is deserved imo. I admire the collections on this board, a lot of beautiful work. It´s funny to observe the difference between the American and the English style. American painters seems to focus much more on the motive, with the British artists is so obvious that a lot of them has the streetfeel in their work.

I actually discovered Holly when Frankie started representing her. What struck me about her style is how "raw" it is, sort of how I imagine Parla's work would look if he was doing it on the street. When you have the chance, I'd love to see some close-up pictures of your piece, especially the texturing and layering of it.
I think your last comment regarding U.S. tastes vs English tastes is dead on. There is definitely a strong difference between what both audiences deem beautiful. I personally appreciate both sides of it, but the longer I collect and the more art I'm exposed to, something about the raw, street-influenced style speaks to me loud and clearly.

I really like that Elbow-Toe piece as well as the Zeus. I'd like to learn more about both of their work.

I'm a big Jesse Reno fan so it's great to see someone else that collects him. I think he is very underrated. His pieces are really interesting and fairly inexpensive to boot.

I love Jesse´s work, he is a very dedicated artist and a nice guy on top of that.
His work is very original and looks great in the flesh. It was my first real painting, and I still remember how I felt when I saw it in the flesh. I was on my way out of the door heading to Barcelona, really had a hard time leaving.
Good value for your money for sure.

Beautiful Kevin Earl Taylor pieces. I met up with him several years ago when he first moved to SF and bought a painting from him. Interesting enough, he had two styles at the time. He decided to go with the current style as opposed to the style that I purchased from him. www.flickr.com/photos/sleepboy/521042880/in/set-72157600181744536/

Interesting with the two different styles.
I do like your painting a lot H, but I guess at one point every artist has to define their style.
Love Kevin´s work...

A little update since a few pieces arrived lately. Ryan McLennan - Purification. At first sight I thought this was an agressive picture, but I came to realise that the two foxes has the same position and that the top one doesn´t seem to show agression. Love the surreal nature of it. I thought it was them playing the first time I saw it. Then I realized the bottom one looked dead. So I thought the top one was jumping away. Now I think it is the spirit of the fox looking back down on himself. LOVE this one, BTW.
