Anyone familiar with his work. I saw one of his museum shows which was pretty cool. Here is what he did for the "Stages" exhibition ( showthread) with Lance Armstrong. It's one of his gunpowder pieces...  |

This spring, MOCA will present the first solo exhibition on the West Coast of artist Cai Guo-Qiang. As a key part of the exhibition, Cai will create three new gunpowder drawings. These large-scale drawings will be made on-site with the assistance of local volunteers. This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the most influential contemporary artists in the world. We need 100 volunteers for this project. Cai will be making the gunpowder drawings from March 3 to March 9, with ignitions on March 5, 7, and 9, at 7pm, with a mandatory training day for all volunteers on Saturday, March 3. www.moca.org/audio/blog/?page_id=2701 |
