trying to wrap my head around how his 3D work can be in a print form. guess it's a photo that is printed, with the deadspace?

Almost defintely. That's always how a giclee is done in the first place, so it's probably the "same" as the album cover, just on a better paper and with better inks. I guess this will still look great, but most of the appeal in Euclides work for me is the 3D aspect and that the picture has layers. All that obviously can't be reproduced in a 2D print. Would really love to own sth by him, but a print in the portfolio is not it. Thanks for a heads-up, though, spenie! There surely are plenty of folks happier than a bean right now

thanks for the link to the pitchfork article murdock. from what i hear / understand, greg created the piece of artwork with the fact that it would be reproduced as a 2 dimensional work in mind - the album cover, so this isn't just a 3d piece that someone decided to later run as a print edition... looks pretty special actually, and half of the net profits are being donated to local charities. good work!
