Props to AM for getting some detailed shots. There are some absolute banging pieces in this show. My favorites are Interlaced Text, St Germain du Pres, and the large piece, which I am guessing he painted over there. Westchester Plaza has grown on me since receiving the PDF. And in terms of Watercolors, I think this goes without saying, but Word Symmetry is downright ridiculous for a watercolor.......like a watercolor on steroids! I have a feeling this may be a one shot deal for a watercolor like that, but I hope I am wrong. Oh how I wish I was in Hong Kong

Parla's work is completely in opposition to everything that makes most artists appeal to me, but I can't help but be drawn in by his lush compositions and rich textures. The man produces some truly stunning work.

Solid coverage of an absolutely stellar show. The man is a genius! I'm insanely jealous of whoever got to attend the opening over there and snap these photogs. I would do very bad things for a few of the pieces in this show. Just phenomenal!

Just when you think Parla can't one up himself, the guy continues to elevate his game. More layers. More textures. More freshness. These paintings are beyond anything I've seen in a long time. Way to raise the bar, Jose. You're playing in a different league.
