Nice. Loving the fact that there will be another Orca piece in this show too. You can never have enough Killer Whale action.
How about some some Elephants, though?! I say, hells yeah! Enough with the deer (...and the fire).

Elephants would be a definite twist. A huge elephant immersed in water walking through a dilapidated urban setting with a Homeland Security Helicopter flying above...... Sounds more like a Martin Wittfooth painting. Have you ever noticed that Josh only paints animals native to North America? There's only one exception I can think of, "Dog Park," where he painted hyenas. Since he's commenting on our destruction of our habitat, the inclusion of an animal from another continent would be a bit distracting, I think.

I've always interpreted his observations on our environmental destruction more as a species as a whole, and global in scope. But his work has definitely always been comprised of elements almost exclusively endemic to North America. Not that any of the sea dwelling creatures he's focused on can been viewed as strictly American, but they do all certainly have migration patterns through or inhabit various regions along the coasts of this continent.
I still want an elephant. Ha. But I can wait until he takes his painterly vision international.

Wow, graf + deer + statues + overgrowth. Love it. I wonder if my fiance would be pissed if I postponed my wedding for "unknown" reasons...
