Received the preview, nice pieces but well out of my price range. I particularly liked the tank one. But yes, it will be interesting to see if he sustains this new price point.

Where are the prices at? Did they go up significantly?

Yes, higher. I believe 12-16K for big pieces and 3-4K for just drawings!

I am a fan of Sashie's work and think these large pieces are really strong. I think piece 'Tank' is an interesting departure from his orb series and look forward to seeing if he continues to do non-orb works in the future (although I do love the orbs, just curious to see what is next).
I don't think the smaller works are technically drawings, they are paintings in white done on color backgrounds (but still spendy nonetheless).
Not sure if he has the fan base here in the US to support these prices fully. Especially for a one night event that is not associated with a gallery. Also keep in mind the exchange rate from the Yen to dollar.
That being said I am curious to see what happens with this show.

The bigger works are on par with pricing at recent fairs, think many were just hoping for some works closer in size to 2x3' and more in the $5-7K range. Sure his solo in December in Japan will have that - I hope!
He often does non-orb paintings and that tank piece is just beautiful! Can't wait to see 'em in person tonight.
Did think those big guitar picks were a lil' odd / hard sell, but we shall see as I know many big collectors / Hollyweird types are jonsin' for something from Sashie.

I had my eye on the guitar picks for a good chunk of the night but they were way above my price range... next time. But Gloria Jones is a trip... love that woman.
