Thank you for posting this- however the show is actually called "Tiger Tiger Burning Bright" (after the poem by William Blake). We will be offering a few special prints where 100% of the money goes to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust as well as a Tiger conservation charity (still picking one!) Stay tuned for the announcement on who's print that will be! Please email me at kirsten@roqlarue.com if you'd like to be placed on the preview list. "A group show based around the theme of tigers, inspired by the dynamic poem " The Tiger" by visionary artist and painter William Blake. Additionally, 2010 is the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar, and the animal is a very visible example of the environmental problem of habitat loss and rampant poaching, with the reported last wild Indochinese tiger being killed and eaten in December 2009. We've asked a group of artists to create works inspired by this majestic, tragic, and beautiful creature, whether on a symbolic, metaphysical, or archetypal level or as a touchstone for deep contemporary issues."

LOL, I couldn't fit the name and "group show" in the title but changed it for you.

A new one by Travis Louie! "Sir Walter Bengalfoot" Explorer, pirate, and raconteur After years of protecting English ships in the spice trade, he sailed off to war to fight the Spanish as a pirate. He helped Francis Drake defeat the Spanish Armada. He was known as the scourge of the Indian Ocean. Briefly worked for the Dutch East India Company as a "leverage agent" in the 1690's.

Does anyone have any pictures from the show? Would love to see them, especially any of the Travis Louie piece. Also does anybody have suggestions on how to frame the Negaigoto print?
