If anyone gets any 'pre-sale' list for this show - please post here. I'd love to get one or two of their signs if they are going to be selling those in some capacity. Thanks!

Is this work for sale or is it just a viewing exhibition?

Does anybody else think Trustocorp is Tristan Eaton or that he is at least part of the group? The monkey on the "It's Okay to Play with Yourself" sign looks an awful like Billy Bananas.

The thought has certainly crossed my mind. I'll admit, I've never really liked Tristan's art. And while this is a different beast all together, I hope it's not him. I love these things too much. Perhaps they know one another and allowed Tristan to design one of the signs. I mean, if the artist(s) were at all attempting to disguise their identity, and I'm not even entirely sure they are, using that graphic would be way too much of a dead give away.

I hear you Lowpro. Your thoughts mirror mine. However, he is based in NYC and has bombing experience so it just might be him. The Fall Out Shelter and Welcome to Hell signs are also similar in style to his work.
Interesting that the first Trustocorp show was held in an Advertising Agency's space. I believe it is the first show in this space. Certainly wasn't well advertised and almost no web exposure.

Lowpro,
Sorry to burst your bubble but yes these are done by Tristan and his people at Thunderdog(mainly him) He was there behind the bar and dealing with pricing. I am on the opposite side of the spectrum with his work always liked it but found it too cutesy so these were are lot better with a stronger social message. The regular signs were well priced and made with high quality in mind but are not one offs so take that into account. the regular signs were all 600.00 while the larger one off pieces were around 1,000 to 1,500. The real large pieces which were amazing in person and are around 5,000 to 9,000. Welcome to hell was amazing.
The gun range broke down within the first two hours and the shooting range pieces were being then hand sold for ten dollars. I ended up picking up a few pieces due to the fact that I am a firm believers of making accessible art not affordable and these are both. If anybody is interested tristan and thunderdog does not respond to emails so send them to the Brooklyn brothers gallery or through the trustco website. They made it worth my while by giving me a free box of cereal and a can of beer with the nose job vinyl on it plus a set of the shooting range signs which were all stencil pieces and looked really nice.
But yes if tristan wanted to stay anonymous he did a horrible job by using billy in a few pieces and being so hands on at the opening..... either way great idea wonderful execution and looking forward to the next Trustco invasion. From the other side I must give tristan credit for biting the hand that feeds him, he makes a lot of money in advertising and at the show and on the streets he has been taking jabs at some of the industry giants, and some that in theory would probably work with him the future.
PS for those who want to get them off the street those pieces are all just vinyl stickers on metal not worthless but not handpainted they did this so that they can put them back up quickly without too much cost and also to make the gallery piece worth something.
