Magical show, great work. Reminds me of Sendak in feeling. (not style) As Melody Faded Into the Wild" is amazing, use of light & color is spectacular. Damn Good Show!

nice work dan. 'as melody faded into the wind' is particularly good. any chance of a larger picture or some details as the image on the 1988 website is very small...
agree with your thoughts on sendak virtu... i often am reminded of where the wild things are when i look at dan's work

thanks very much everyone! i appreciate the kind words. svenman, yeah, unfortunately the gallery's site is not the best when it comes to viewing the work. below is a link to the image on my flickr... it's a little larger. feel free to send me an email (danmay(at)dan-may.com) and i'll gladly send you a higher res version. i really wish everyone could see the work in person as these jpegs do not really capture all of the details and textures. thanks again for having a look! www.flickr.com/photos/danmay/4690253514/sizes/o/

The use of light and color in this body of work is inspiring, Dan... beautiful. I wish I could see these in person!
