"Roq La Rue is pleased to present the work of two painters who deal with allegorical subject matter using emotionally driven narratives featuring animals as protagonists.
Martin Wittfooth creates a world seemingly post-man. His sun-hazy apocalyptic scenes contain animals who are seemingly wild, yet forever changed by their encounters with humanity.
Michael Brown is known for his paintings of animals with human-like expressions. For this show he has also expanded his repertoire to create beautifully lush, flower filled Vanitas with plant life bursting forth from animal hosts."
