Los Angeles, CA 90012 Phone:(213) 621-9988 Los Angeles, CA – German art duo Herakut and LeBasse Projects: Chinatown proudly present ‘AFTER THE LAUGHTER.’ The exhibition will feature a new series of sculptures, photography and wall installations by the artists. In conjunction with the opening, Herakut will also be releasing their second book also titled “After the Laughter” – with a signing from 6-7pm. After a period of producing a series of work on canvas and exhibiting in ‘white wall’ style exhibitions, Herakut returns to an approach like their early years in presenting a fully immersive installation. The exhibition will showcase new original paintings, drawings, photography and a series of sculptures. About Herakut Herakut lives and works in Munich and Frankfurt. The duo have exhibited internationally throughout Europe and the US including London, Paris, Madrid, Germany, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. About The Book “AFTER THE LAUGHTER – the 2nd book of Herakut” tells the story behind their stories. It is a hand-made scrapbook with 240 fully collaged pages on which the duo shares the good sides and the bad from the second half of their collaboration years, 2009 to 2011. It is just as personal as all their pieces and that makes it a piece of art in itself.

If you missed the Lucent performances this past weekend - and I know people did because both nights were sold out you can catch many of the performers who will be integrated into the exhibition on the 25th. It was amazing to see the Herakut characters come to life... DD posted some good pics and i think AM got some great coverage as well though not sure if its posted yet.
