I think David is an awesome artist, and last night he sent me a nice note. Some bargains there imo. Scott, Hey, FYI, There's several very inexpensive works of mine on paper available through the gallery/auction house, Webb's in NZ. Consider the fact that a new zealand dollar is about 50 cents us. So it's almost half price and it's pretty low to begin with. There are some gems in the works on record inner sleeve paintings. Spread the word. D Web: www.webbs.co.nz

I didn't realize what a talented and versatile artist Ellis is until recently. Saw a pretty rad "trash - musical" installation at Art Basel.
Here are some videos of some smaller ones...

One example of Davids ability to produce functional art...engineer, painter, sculptor, etc, just love the guy!

His new show at Joshua Liner looks superb. The tobacco stained paper paintings fall a little flat for me, but a lot of the works on wood are stunning (especially 'Steel Guitar' & '22' at the moment). Some of the 'Trees' are very seductive and captivating as well. And those record cover sculptures, I've always loved them. Wow, can't wait to get down there!

David Ellis was new to me. I like this Backyard Dog, seems these are mostly older pieces?
