From my meager screenprinting experience on paper it looks as if the paint smudged when the screen was lifted (since the paint is only smudged at the bottom), that's always tricky when printing on paper as it does not absorb the paint as quickly and as good as clothing.
In any case I think you should contact the seller or maybe better the manufacturer of the print as this should be replaced. Good luck, and I hope they can fix this.

thanks for your msg Katrin.. I must say that I totally agree with you, as that's what I was thinking when I first noticed the smudges... but, it seems that other people (mostly on BF), are not sharing that opinion, and I ended up being a "whiner" cause of this.. most of people say that is normal for a hand screened print, and I should not make a deal about it... so I guess I wont..

I do agree with you, and I do think there shouldn't be any smudges on this one, but we seem to be minority in this case.. plus, since I bought this on the 2nd market, I doubt the manufacturer will be willing to help..

How often does he use color? I think that's his first piece I've seen with anything but black/grey/white

Not too much, except the horse mane at Newcastle and what Sven previously mentioned, when he does the arteries and veins in some pieces.

Might be the first with red on the blood and carcass , but not sure.

Roa will be having a solo show at INOPERAbLE and the Street Art Passage in Vienna on August 26th. In preparation he started with doing this wall near the gallery. ROA's highly sought after books will also be available through the gallery. Limited copies so reserve yours now!
