 Mia
« Thread Started on Jul 4, 2008, 11:38pm »

Mia is a favorite new artist of mine. I first saw her work at the G1988 Stan Lee show. Was going to buy her piece... then got distracted with Stan Lee... tried to buy it right after and it was sold! Had a hell of a time trying to find info on her cuz g1988 spelled her name wrong on the painting's tag. Finally tracked her down in February. Very sweet girl and I really love what I am seeing from her.

Here's the first painting I got from her.

lovely! i did the same thing when i saw her work (online) at the show - i googled like crazy and just fell in love with her stuff. i normally don't go for that much color, but it's just beautiful work.

Yah, her colors are a little too much for me but they work well in this painting. Nice one...

Here is a sneak peek at some of the pieces by Mia in her show coming up later this month here at Ad Hoc Art. They are a bit large because you have to see the detail in these incredible paintings. Enjoy!

Mia has sent us her largest painting to date for our NY "Go East" pop-up show. From the work I saw of Mia's at her graduation show til now, I can really say that the new work is about at that level of some of the best artists painting in the pop-surreal genre.

"The Four Seasons" - which is going to NY - is really a masterpiece and Mia should start getting buzz as a household name. I am very impressed with her new work and I don't say that very often...
