Masao, I've always found it interesting that you and I both love Lori's work, but like completely different pieces. None of the ones you listed are my favorites.

interesting point - i never thought about it but you're right. but i see that with a lot of people. especially when it comes to chueh's work. i have a hard time with a good deal of it and the ones i would sell my boyfriend out for rarely get any comments.

How about posting some of your favorite pieces so I can see a good variety of her work. I really didn't care for her work until I saw a couple of Masao's pics. Like the large pink one with the lamb and dandelions, and the smaller framed one with the girl lying down on a bed. Not that I'll ever be affording one of her OG's but I might buy a print someday.

Alright, Jonathan Levine needs a security guard. from Juxtapoz: Another Lori Earley Drawing Stolen! We almost cannot believe it. Another Lori Earley drawing was recently stolen right off of the walls of the Jonathan Levine Gallery from her current Fade to Gray exhibition (up now until March 22nd) on March 13th at around 5 p.m. This, after the bad news of Earley’s first drawing, which was stolen on February 27th at approximately 5 pm, is truly shocking. The first drawing stolen was the only one without a title in the current show, in a white frame. The second drawing stolen is titled Awaiting... It is in a white oval ornate frame and is 12"x16" unframed, and approximately 20"x24" framed. “I am so angry- can't believe this. I'm still in shock,” Earley told Juxtapoz. If anyone has any ideas about where either of Earley’s pieces might be, please contact her right away! Her website is www.loriearley.com. That's just crazy. I guess things are(and should, unfortunately) going to change at the next Lori show. It be nice if they could just catch one of the persons responsible.

Ironic that one of our members entropy emailed them about getting tracking devices and then them emailing back and saying "thanks but we are all over it" and then having a 2nd painting stolen LOL. artchival.proboards54.com/index.cgi?board=generaldiscussion&action=display&thread=1205540651

Here's my question. Were either of these pieces purchased by a collector before they were stolen? I mean, how bad would that have to suck?

Lori's work is great. I'll never own on OG of hers but prints are still very affordable (given the huge size and the price of her OG's).

LIMITED EDITION GICLEE PRINTS ARE BACK! I just realized this "> 2year" delay saved me 20% in Euros. *trying to find a bright spot in all this* Does anyone have a picture of the original piece? I'd like to see how it was framed.

Anybody pic up this beauty?
Also - for those that did, Lori is signing/numbering them in the image area so they can be framed up tight. I like that she does that - I have a couple Ryden's done that way. It makes the world of difference IMO.

Charity - Those photos threw me a bit until I realized the work on the walls were prints! You're right - thats the shoot for "C@cktail Hour" (2007) and "One" and "The Wish" are from Roq La Rue (2005') and sold immediately. She must have ran herself a print of "One" Speaking of "The Wish" - did you get yours yet? Ours arrived a couple weeks ago - one of the finest quality prints I've ever seen (no exaggeration!) jIm
