" FOR THE LOVE OF GOD " 2007 ( 8,601 flawless diamonds embedded in
a platinum-cast human skull with teeth ) by the British artist Damien Hirst :
http://www.fadwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Diamond-2.jpg
* This link also serves as a great Wallpaper for your desktop
( it fits perfect with plenty of room for all your Icons ).
The sculpture has been on view in Florence at Palazzo Vecchio, Italy
from Nov. 26, 2010 until May 1, 2011.

NOTE:
This work was created in 'Memory of his Mom'.
When Hirst was a little boy and caught doing something wrong his Mom would
always say: " For the love of God ! " ( it was her favorite expression ).

Very old news which anyone who's paid the slightest bit of attention to contemporary art over the past few years is aware. But because of the above For The Love of God reference, I thought it deserved posting a caveat to the piece and some background on the record setting sale of the work. Dude bought his own piece. Shaddy biz for sure.

Prob better articles out there, but this was the first decent one to pop up on mr google.

" FOR THE LOVE OF GOD " 2007 sculpture by Damien Hirst.

Yes, I posted this very old news because I found the link to serve as
a great Wallpaper image for anyone's desktop. Also, I didn't know Hirst
created the sculpture in "Memory to his Mom'. That was new news to me.
The sculpture being on view in Florence at Palazzo Vecchio, Italy from
Nov. 26, 2010 until May 1, 2011 was news I didn't know about
( I had wondered where the work was located in recent months ).

So, as you can see, old news can be new news too !!

Only a few left and now priced at £4,200.

if you are serious, then pick up the phone.. its quicker and more direct.

emails are slower and arent instant in reply as a conversation on the phone.

haha 4kgbp! It may sell out but it's a crappy sketch on a skate deck. Not worth the money at all, I dont care if he signed 1 of them, it's a cheap souvenir for the unwise. Count your blessings that they didnt reply.

^ I would have paid the entry price, all day long. Much more than that and for me it makes more sense to save for a print.
