I love the idea of this show, especially some of the portraits these artists are doing. NIN by Travis Louie, Snoop by Jeremy Lipking?

I like how some of the artists seem to be painting portraits of artists that don't seem to perfectly fit his/her art.

Apparently there will be different events on different days at the show. I wonder if any of this is invite only?

Kris Lewis posted a progress shot of his Beck portrait. Looks killer so far. I like being able to see the stages of his work.

Wow, this is a great set of works. Some of these seem like perfect match-ups, the figure and painters style meld so perfectly. Like the Travis Louie, Natalia Fabia, Shawn Barber and of course Lori Earley.

I was looking forward to seeing what Joshua Petker would do with Radiohead, is that the piece he is submitting?

Jeremy Lipking posted his Snoop Dogg painting on his blog. Looks amazing, I love the brush strokes and the expression he captured.

Sounds great, hung. I literally just got back from opening night. I left with a few hours to go in the show. Really great show. The Earley piece was priced at $92,000 :o Studio 1 dropped off three Fairey og's, ticketed at 10k per. Lots of great pieces. I was a bit bummed that the Ron English piece never showed up. I saw Travis there....both Barker and Louie ;D
