German painter Moki will be having her first U.S. solo show at Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco on August 6th. I just did a little interview with her at Erratic Phenomena, for those who aren't familiar with her work. I think it's pretty amazing! Jack Fischer Gallery 49 Geary, Suite 418 San Francisco, CA 94108 The work is already on preview at the gallery's site.

Just saw the show online, hope to see it this weekend in person.
All of the work flows together perfectly. I have a hard time understanding why some people thought she might needed to mature in her style a bit more. This series of work is more cohesive than some of the shows I have seen in the past few months.

Thanks Sleepboy. I wish I was able to take some more but the card filled up from the days events.
It was a very impressive show, everything fit together so well. I like that she had b&w paintings to offset the color works. Some of the color paintings had this nice "aged" quality to them. Her color palette was not so much muted, but more like the varnish had been tinted a bit so it was on the warm side.
