This show is near and dear to my heart... almost all of my favorite artists will be participating. All the work will either feature an animal, or will express emotions about the plight of the wild creatures in this world. Even better, 20% of the proceeds will go to Born Free USA to further a great cause – helping rescue endangered animals, as well as raising awareness about habitat loss, animal cruelty and exploitation. I hope to see all the board's Angelenos at Thinkspace on the second Friday in January to show the love!

It's one of my favorites. It's called 'The Fading' and the way the lil' ferret is holding the skull of a recently departed one and the other is fading away before his eyes... very powerful work and a fine example of the quality works this show is comprised of. Super proud of all the strong works submitted for this very special fund raiser. If you are local, plan on the opening on Fri, Jan. 8th - but also plan on possibly adding a new member to your family the weekend of Sat, Jan. 9th and Sun, Jan. 10th via our ped adoptions we'll be hosting both days... or bring along an old blanket as we'll be gathering up all the blankets we can donating them to local shelters so dogs don't have to sleep on cold concrete floors. We'll have a organization out that provides animal health care for artists that can't afford to take their pets to the vet. Tons of informational pamphlets to take away and learn from. All sorts of goodness like that coming together. Can't wait. Dan Quintana 'California Condor'

Bumblebee has started his installation... Statement from Bumblebee on his install: "This installation entitled 'Unlimited Talk and Text' challenges us to face the reality of the times we live in. A 10ft (3m) paper mâché tree sculpted with pages from found phone books is reincarnated again to its natural posture reminding us of the past we once lived in while at the same time reminding us of the future that is ahead of us. The phonebook is no longer a necessity as technology advances us into a paperless society putting this species of ‘staple household items’ on the endangered list while the process of making these books also leads to putting species of trees, forests, habitats, etc. on the endangered list as well.” Here's a couple more from the show to check out: Joseph McSween (2H) 'Cunning Fox' Martin Whittfooth 'Aesop's Folly' * This is the very first piece of a limited edition toy about to be released as the debut figurine of Big Spoon Toys. Only the first 3 of these figurines are hand-painted by Martin, and the eventual edition of 250 (per colorway: 2 colorways total 500) are going to be available at various shops and galleries in the next couple of months. This is #1 of 250 and the first hand-painted figure to be released to public. More fresh pics have been uploaded to the show's Flickr set here: www.flickr.com/photos/thinkspace/sets/72157622577799739/

I was just over at Thinkspace, helping unpack the pieces for this show, and it's going to be a great one... really consistently strong work throughout. Make sure to save Friday night to come out for the opening! A ton of artists will be attending, and there will be ultra-limited prints from Amy Sol, Liz McGrath and Buff Monster.

This show looks amazing. Im really impressed by everything I've seen so far. It seems like the show is suppose to be about endangered animals. Did tran do a endangered tree? Don't quite get how that fit's in.
