The Chris Berens we have will not be for sale so it is not included in this preview.

Anyone have a picture of his piece? Sale or not, it would be nice to see what he did for the show.

Edit: I can almost see it

Don't know why that Eric Fortune reminds me so much of the famous Andrew Wyeth classic:

Maybe I don't know a lot about "Christina's World", but I do know that the woman in the painting (Christina) suffered from polio, (she was paralyzed/ lower body). I know Eric is known for depicting strange "cuts" on his subjects' extremities. Although, the girl on this piece (Eric's piece) doesn't have the staple "cuts".

Anyway, that was a stretch, but Wyeth's painting came to mind.

I kind of see similarities too now that you bring it up... I wonder if he was inspired by the piece?

Strange... I don't possibly see any connection, Wyeth's piece is so powerful because of what you think of the piece at first glance and then realizing it's a much different image than what is assumed. How is this connection made in Eric's piece? To me they are not related in the slightest (other than a lady and house).

Curious since this is one of my 5 favorite works of art, what is the different image from what one percieves at first glance? Now I wonder if I've been looking at this work all wrong

Intresting I wasn't familiar with the story but had the same feeling. The subject felt afflicted to me and I felt it was representational of the ill and struggling society during the depression desperately trying to return to normalsey. Guess I over thought it but I suppose the feeling is the same.
