Love the new body of work for JLG, prices are certainly on the rise. $25000 for a 48"x48". I too have missed out on this great artist.

Hey Sal. I contacted the V1 Gallery about one of Steve's pieces, and was informed that the piece had just been returned to him for his upcoming show. They also offered to contact Steve and try and arrange a sale for me, and that the price would be $11,000. Not sure what I expected, but this clearly wasn't it. Perhaps I waited too long and this is yet another artist whose work is beyond my income to afford. Too bad ... his art is growing on me.

Im sorry to hear that man.. I definitely wouldn't like to be in your skin right now.. You might have more luck with some other galleries that still have some leftover pieces from his previous shows.. Than again, chances are those are gonna be priced different from now on.. But, it doesn't hurt to try and ask... Good luck!

A very generous offer to paint free signs for businesses that lost their signs in the storm:

"ICY signs" moved to a new Brooklyn location at 72 Fourth Avenue, where they supply people with art: originals, multiples, and invaluables. They'll also be painting low cost or free signage for businesses in their new neighborhood, in the shadow of the Barclay's Center.

Opening event will be on Saturday, December 1st (details to follow), and among couple of new things, they have a one-a-day calendar in a signed edition of 500:
