Has anyone seen Tatiana Suarez's work in person? I like what I see online, just wondering how it looks in person compared to the digital images.

When are we going to hear more on this Os Gemeos show at PRISM...I'm anticipating that it will be one of the best showings in 2012 (within the urban fine art scene). I can barely stand seeing these teasers pics and not knowing more...

jB: a friend of mine said he saw 16 of the works, a combination of big and small, and said some were pretty solid. unfortunately I did not get to see any pics myself, so I am waiting as well.

Went to L'Imagerie Gallery in North Hollywood/Burbank today just to look around. I'm thinking Debbie has an insane amount of amazing art in that place. It's borderline overwhelming... with stuff jammed into every nook and cranny. I like to go there to torture myself and make my own collection feel small and insignificant!

It looks great; she can paint. i met her when she was painting a mural in miami a few years ago. she certianly was holding it down at that scale. have never seen her work in a gallery though. nice girl too...

Robbie Conal to appear on The Simpsons new episode "Exit Through The Kwik-E Mart" on March 4, at 8pm. The episode sees Robbie Conal, Ron English, Shepard Fairey and Kenny Scharf (guest-voicing as themselves) inviting Bart to exhibit his graffiti artwork in his very own gallery show

I was driving home today when i saw these weird coloured lights about 7-8 miles in the distance. As I got closer to them there were thousands of people, walking, on bikes, in cars all going towards a local landmark, st mary's island (a small island with a lighthouse attached to the coast by a causeway) I joined the queue of traffic trying to get on the island (took two hours for 1/2 a mile) and it was great, almost adding to the suspense, getting closer to it, still not having a clue. Anyway, eventually I got to the source of the lights. 6 high powered coloured lasers, placed up on a pedestal pointing over the sea along the coastline and off into the distance. It was fantastic! Anyway, after a quick google once i got home, turns out it was this... yvettemattern.com/it was one of the best pieces of public art i've seen in years and completely captivated me for four hours, had me grinning all the way home and has led to me writing this. If you're near newcastle this week, GO! Take your kids they'll freak out.

Considering selling some of my prints... I am a little perplexed but they have been in storage for over a year and I don't see them being framed and appreciated in the near future... What to do? Never wanted to sell but now I feel like I am hoarding them

I'm thinking this lady can really, really paint. I just don't think I could hang it. I'd be hungry all the time. It's funny, I have had a love affair with food for many years. I'm by no means a huge guy - very "average" build, but over the past year I had gained too much. I've lost 20 pounds over the past few months and am back in decent shape. So hanging a giant banana split on my walls would just be too tempting. Her pieces are as decadent as the food she portrays. I especially like her M&M's. maryellenjohnson.net/

And a little extra We have quite a few Desert Cottontails here in Arizona, and every once awhile one will dart across the street on my way to work. On these days I tend to have a blessed day, so I see them as my good luck charms. I really like the idea of putting a collection together, please continue to share when you get some more.
