Our next exhibition - a solo show by New York street artist 'Hellbent' - opens this Saturday evening (2nd May) at 6pm.
A key player in the abstract graffiti movement known as ‘Graffuturism’, the floral patterns that once served as a backdrop to Hellbent’s work have eclipsed the central animal and jawbone motifs, and now stand alone as elaborate abstract fields of colour and movement. Their configurations veer from folky quilt patterns, to completely haphazard bands of colour weaving throughout themselves. This is his first solo show outside the US, following exhibitions in New York, LA and Chicago, and a recent giant commission (and clothing range) for Ralph Lauren in New York.
There are some fantastic pieces in this exhibition, and I can't wait to get it back from the framer. Hellbent is without doubt a name to watch on the global street art scene. His work is distinctive, attractive and conceptually strong!

'Tension (Killing Joke)' is an entirely hand-painted edition of 20 pieces, with each one being unique. The edition we released last year, 'Mellow Doubt (Teenage Fanclub)' sold out straight away - so please don't hang around if you're interested in purchasing one of the new editions!
It's priced at just £200 unframed - else we can frame it for you in white to full conservation standards for an additional £85.
