Are these pieces plaster carvings or wood for the form and skeletal structure? Also, does anyone know what kind of paints are used? They seem to have more 'washed out' qualities that are really interesting.

The monkey is finished, and I'm completely blown away. www.scottradke.com/12monkey.htmlEdited to add: Looks like it sold pretty quickly, too. Congrats to Scott and the collector who scooped this up. I'm supremely jealous!

I am still contemplating on which to snap up. They all look good and I have no particular preference over any species.

Wow, that's a great piece Origo! Never thought of Scott's work that way, but it's perfect for a scarecrow.

Wow, that's a great piece Origo! Never thought of Scott's work that way, but it's perfect for a scarecrow. Definetely is H, totally blown away. I saw ScottĀ“s work for the first time on this board and instantly fell for it. The initial idea for the commision was something else, but the more I thought of the scarecrow idea and the more Scott came up with ideas, the more I was sure this was the the right theme and the rest is history... Credit goes to Scott, the man is mad talented and such a nice chap to deal with in every way. There should be more people like him around.

This cobra piece for his show this weekend is pretty badass. Might be worth heading out just to check this out in person - not to mention the other sculptures and Jen Lobo's work.
