It's safe to say that Simone Legno will probably be in attendance, as he is having a signing at the Tokidoki Flagship store on Melrose earlier that day...
What an amazing line up!

the lineup Jan has for this show is amazing. IMO one of the best rosters for '09. Can't wait to see what Jason Shawn Alexander has created for the show. I was first exposed to his work by the piece he did for the Clowns show and it made me an instant fan.

Love the concept, borrowing from the past to create something new. Hope they can get good photo's of these showing the layer effect. Super excited.

the krista huot is stunning, great use of the concept and i think it might be my favorite piece of hers to date because of the color it gives off. the nouar and schorr are also among my favorites. sage vaughn fit in perfectly in this show because of how his subjects are usually detached from his backgrounds.
but i am not going to lie, some of the piece are not my cup of tea. it seemed like some great artist struggled, which could be expected as i imagine glass to be a tricky medium.

We are extending the Multi-Plane exhibit until January 9th 2010. All of the artists did such wonderful work for the exhibition, that we couldn't bear for it to come down in just 5 days. So after the group show closes tomorrow night on 12/17, we are going to hang it salon style in the loft for our upcoming solo for Kukula.
Happy Holidays to everyone on the board! It was so nice to meet some of you at the show last week. Take care, Jan

We had some requests to see the "planes" of the multiplanes, so here's an inside peek at a couple... TODD SCHORR "The Guilty Conscience" All together in the frame... CARLOS RAMOS "Minus Extremities" And, all together in the frame...
