Interesting hearing him speak about the Michelle Obama piece.
Anyone have any clues as to where he'll be showing next? By the time I got the preview, the two pieces I genuinely loved had sold and I hesitated on the rest. Then I read about Mugrabi and Hirst buying up most of the show, which was in turn covered by major media outlets and could have an indelible impact on future access and primary prices..more as a result of Mugrabi unanimously jumping on board than anything. Needless to say, I regretted not jumping on one of the pieces I liked, and have only came to like even more with time, but didn't initially love. I presume after the roaring success of Stupid Has a New Hero, he'll be moving on from NY Studio Gallery and will be showing with someone larger.

Great footage. Found it interesting that he didn't shoot his canvases himself, as that's how I had always envisioned it. I mean, if you're gonna go ballistic on a work of your own artwork, I'd want to pull the trigger myself.
Looking forward to him revealing, at least publicly, where his next solo will be next month as well.

Charming Baker is one artist I pontificated about for far too long. Saw his work hanging in Cargo in 2006 or 2007 and thought this lads got talent and an intriguing approach but then thought they were a tad too pricey........I'm starting to think my collecting should now be based on doing the exact opposite to my gut instinct!!!

i'm really glad to have caught his last show before it ended. very 'visual', but i love the motifs he uses such as the fabric prints and wallpaper textures within the work.

Great looking show, the nose cone sculptures are pretty fantastic. I also really liked these 2: Peace is Over Rated Have We Replaced Everything We've Lost With Something Else
