After some time in the 'wilderness', Parla is really stepping back into prominence. He's taken an interesting path, full of ups and downs, gallery misfires, etc., but the focus on large-scale public murals has really resulted in some impressive works that have gained him a lot of mainstream press and attention. Now, hoping to see a gallery show that surpasses the forum-legendary 'Adaptation/Translation' at Elms Lesters. I'd agree re taking an interesting path. The recent show at Bryce Wolkowitz looked fantastic (from the images as I didn't get a chance to go) and a good development from the show at Haunch, where Parla seemed to be moving in a slightly different direction (in terms of colour). He's certainly been true to himself and through persistence (and knowing the right people / collectors) it seems to be paying off. His instagram feed has been great to watch recently

That's an interesting/cool approach he's taking. Outside of these new works, I'm wondering if anyone has a general sense of the latest Jose Parla pricing from primary (e.g. 2x3 feet; 4x4 feet; 4x6 feet, etc). Thanks in advance.

Looks beautiful.
I've never been to this one, but have fond memories of visiting Parla's old studio a couple of times. Was a really cool space, and Parla a fantastic host.
