Kris' newest piece...something in her proportions is a bit off...

the face is beautifully painted, but i think i know what you mean about the overall proportions... the neck is kind of lori early elongated, but i find the apparent lack of shoulders or arms to be a bit offputting. the hair reminds me of how eric white paints hair.
by the way, looking back at this thread, the piece that oli picked up is a beauty!

Kris' newest piece...something in her proportions is a bit off... Not sure if I see it either, It's funny though how different people see such different things sometimes.I am a huge fan of Kris and in my opinion ( for whatever it's worth ) I think this piece seems to be a tad bit different in style than the others I have seen of Kris's , I think it's great when artist show a little diversity. It really shows how well rounded they are as artist.

Wow, just got turned onto his work in the most random way. Had to go to my bank here in PHX, was talking to a guy who worked there, somehow he brought up this friend he grew up with, Kris Lewis, how he is a painter in LA... very nice surprise to see this guy's work is so wonderful.

Kris pulled off another beauty for the "Cry for Help" show at Thinkspace. This sad, timeless redhead, also featured in a number of his earlier works, is standing in a thick pine forest. He titled it "Angeles Forest," presumably in memory of the fires that burned a quarter of the forest last summer, destroying the habitat of so many animals, and killing a great many of them outright.
