I had to find some way to keep this addiction in check...

it's a perfect approach and i know a lot of collectors who employ the same rule. i'm more than happy with a print substitute when i can't score or afford an original and it's landed me with well over a hundred prints which will take a lifetime to frame. it should bother me but it doesn't

here is a sneak peek at a few of the paintings she will be showing here at Ad Hoc Art laster this month. Enjoy! I love Sarah's work! I think it's fantastic! That top piece is simply awesome.

I really like Sarah's work. It's been interesting to see "Bottom Feeder" evolving - and I'm digging "Loves Me Not" - The layering she's doing with the schematic fishy-type stuff on top of the snake painting, I really like... I just don't like snakes! I think she's one to look out for, though... I'm glad to have a few really nice pieces she's done.

The work she did for my show was a little dark, the work for Distinction a bit darker and she has posted recently on her blog that the work will be become even darker in the future. I am very interested to see where she is going with all this darkness.

I love Sarah's work, and many of my favorites have been the literally dark, atmospheric, moody blue pieces she's done. She said recently that she's not going to paint any of those for a while – which is fine – but I hope she resumes exploring that direction someday.

On Nov 3rd Sarah wrote in her blog...
"However, after this, I can already promise more of the dark hues invading once again... At least for the next while, I have no idea how long it'll continue?"
I am glad to hear that the dark hues are "invading" as she says. I think it's a big part of what sets her apart and makes her work what it is.

That 'Beauty in the Breakdown' is pretty nice... 'SJ08?' Looks like perhaps she's been holding out some gems for the solo in June. Color me excited.

Really love Sarah and her work, she's quite charming in person. Will say that I am more drawn to her past work, it seems more delicate and whimsical. There is something about her piece 'Malicious Intent' from the Last Rites show, possibly the elongated face (forehead and eyes) that doesn't have the same elegance of her previous work. Always interested in seeing her new work and direction but would definitely like to see some of the elements in her older work such as 'Uninvited', 'Just', 'Fragile Hearts' and 'Bottom Feeder', emerge again! Others thoughts?
