The lovely thing about these new paintings is that each gun tells a story. Scott smuggled pieces of equipment into a mexican jail by bribing the guards with bottles of whisky and made these guns to use on the inmates. Each gun represents a specific prisoner. The amazing thing is that he created these paintings (which are huge by the way 60/40") with just an 8/11" photo of each gun. Pretty impressive.

I have to admit that I have only really liked his work with the dollars carvings but this last show is fantastically well put together and really he created an experience feeling to match the entire show. Thanks all for the great coverage and info.
