Are they worth it? Every time i see one posted, I think the piece and price is nice... but then I take out my ruler and think otherwise.
What do you guys think (as I don't own one)?

Well they are quite detailed and are inline with his prices for bigger pieces. I think that to properly display them though requires that you have more than one piece as part of a cluster. Here are the two that I have, haven't decided whether to buy more to form a proper cluster or to sell or trade them off.

i second everything that hung said - you need several to really get some impact and i love them! they're like the mini-figs of the art world. the detail is incredible and the colors are rich in person (the frames really are delicious too) - i for one would recommend the purchases highly.

I have about 10 Naoto piece. I love them. They are very detailed and they make a beautiful display. I think they have been getting expensive as of late. After his last show his prices seamed to go up pretty good.
But they always sell. I NEVER see one available for purchase any more. As soon as they become available on his site they are gone. So I think they still may have potential to increase in value.
My suggestion would be to buy one or a two and buy a couple of prints and you can make a really nice display. And it should not break your bank.

I've only got one, it's about 2" x 3", but I love it as much as my big paintings. I too was skeptical about buying such a tiny painting, but after it arrived I was very happy with my decision.
