hi everyone, i'm helping ana and her friend mere raise much needed funds to help feed the many homeless in LA. every week, they drive into the city and personally hand out brown bag lunches they've made. EVERY WEEK! as you can imagine, this can be pretty expensive. i thought it would be amazing to hold a raffle for ana's latest print of "silence" (her stunning piece for gallery 1988's crazy for cult show) ana is giving 2 of these large prints (15x20" archival inks, Hahnemuhle paper) away to 2 lucky winners in this raffle. yes! you have 2 chances to win!!! each entry will be just $10.00, you can enter as many times as you wish, and ana will draw the winner personally. to enter, please paypal lunchbunchco@gmail.com be sure to put "PRINT RAFFLE" as the subject we will collect entries until next monday, the 20th, and a winner will be drawn next week. this is your chance to win an amazing print for as little as $10.00, but more importantly, help out some people who are less fortunate and wake each morning often looking for their breakfast in a dumpster... each donation feeds 5 people, so please buy a few spots! you can read about ana & mere's charity at lunchbunchco.blogspot.com/im also organizing a large art fundraiser with ana that will be hosted on etsy in the next few weeks. we will have prints and original art for sale with all proceeds going to lunch bunch. if you can donate anything art related, please contact me! as soon as we get that together i'll post info here. thank you, and good luck to everyone who enters.

I saw Ana a few months ago at Billy Shire. Waited till she was free and told her I loved her work. She looked at me and just walked away:( This is the reason I hate meeting artist. I realize she might of had a bad day, but a smile would have been nice.

Shelly, I'm sorry if that happened to you, but I would never ignore or walk away from a comment like that on purpose. Perhaps I didn't hear what you said, or know you were talking to me?

There was a group show in DC a few years ago curated by Annie A. At the opening there was a group of people I recognized right away , Billy Shire, Josh Agle, Bob Dob, Liz McGrath, Glenn Barr and a few others. I went right up and started to chit chat. In that group there was a young woman who I did not recognize. She seemed a bit shy and quiet and I asked her," Who are you?". She quietly introduced herself. I just thought to myself, what an wonderful, unassuming and gracious lady. Do you remember me Ana?

I remember the show and being really nervous because it was my first time flying out with a group of amazing artists. I think I remember you asking me who I was but I can't put a face to the conversation we had! Everyone I met that night was incredibly nice and welcoming of all the artists. Thank you for the kind words. Sleepboy, yes, that's the ONLY reason I enjoy talking to you

I realize she might of had a bad day, but a smile would have been nice. Hi Shelly... it really sucks when situations like this happen... I know... and meeting a favourite artist can be unnerving... this I also know... 99% of the time, it goes well... but there have been those times when when it was obvious that I was snubbed... and I mean obvious... And this isn't exclusive to actual artists... even some people in the art community have disregarded my being until they found out how I came to be involved. YET I have to say that when I read this I was a bit surprised, as Ana seems to be pretty chill, laid back, and easygoing. In her case, I really feel that she is sincere when she says that it might've been a misunderstanding... and that she is truly sorry. I've only been introduced to her once briefly, but she was pretty nice so I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. I guess that I just want to make sure that the next time this happens, that you aren't hindered by this particular incident. And if you go up to Ana again and tell her the same thing, she'll probably accept the comment gracefully and gratefully, as she is an artist that carries more than these 2 traits...

i think ana is one of the kindest, most selfless people that walk this planet. check her lunch bunch blog to see what she does to help out the homeless of LA lunchbunchco.blogspot.com/and whilst you are there buy a copy of her latest print, with 100% of proceeeds going to fund the production of scrumptious looking sandwiches! In an effort to raise money for Lunch Bunch, we are releasing a new small and inexpensive print! 100% of proceeds will go to Lunch Bunch.
"Prey" Edition of 100 Size is approx. 6.5 by 9" with 1" border Archival pigment on Hahnemuhle paper Signed and Numbered by Ana Bagayan $25 + shipping
-Each order will feed 12 people with a Lunch Bunch meal!even if you don't want to buy the print, there is a donate button on the blog, where you will see that each $10 you contribute will make 5 lunches. help the cause people. ana also just released her 'silence' print on her webstore yesterday.
