I showed my son the piece because I love it so much and he was really interested in witting for the contest because he really loves the print and think it does inspire a story in his mind, can he enter it ? He is only 12 and I didn't know if there is an age restriction on it. I home school my kids and it could really be a great learning tool for him .

Alright, I will give it a go.
There once was a bull from Nantucket, wait no profanity, woohoohoo, cant tell that one ;-)
Ok here goes...
On a cloudy day in the fall Stands the mother bull with her parasol Her umbrella is red As is the top of her head Perhaps she is expecting a violent squall

She climbed and climbed, to the top she went. The queen of royalty at the top for all to see.
At the top yet no one cared, her nose stuck high in the air. "Look at me! Look at me!" But everyone just let her be.

Ok don't laugh, here's mine:
There once was a bare bull called mother Whose Parasol was red as no other On the top of the green it protected the sheen Of the white coat that she stole from her brother.
Go ahead and laugh, it's supposed to be funny ;D

i thought i'd have a pop with a (very) short melancholy story. for title's sake, i think it should be called '(e)x'.
thanks for setting up the contest tom and joe.
This has always been a lonely place. The ex-mother sighs as she looks down over the ex-glacier. The years have taken their toll on this place. She’s seen a lot of changes. Once this place was completely white and blue, covered in snow and ice – but that was centuries ago when she first came here. Her daily tear falls to the ground, but it cannot fill the chasm below her or even make a dent on the one inside her. She shouldn’t be here anymore, but she has nowhere else to go. No-one else to talk to or long for. Just the one. Always and only the one. People used to come here to look at her and snap pictures with their snappy snazzy cameras, but that was centuries ago. The people have all gone now. She didn’t enjoy their company at the time, but now she misses them too. No more helicopter rides and fast hot wind blown into her face at a million miles an hour. No more ice cream vans and aromas of diesel and strawberry sauce. No more car park and ticket machines and the buzzing clicking noises – the grass reclaims almost everything. The ice will be back soon and she’ll still be here. x.

Seems there is very little interest so I hate to do it but if we don't have 10 or more entries the contest is void.

I'm working on one, trying to make sure it is killer sounding.
Wishing more people would enter. Come on, it's a free print and all you have to do it try and make a limerick or story. If contests like this aren't nurtured, whats the reason to continue having them?

Come on, people should just try something, every one seems to be able to pick a number for these other contests. This is for a Sorren PRINT!

hmmmmm ok - heres my 'effort'
Red parasol raised , in a sky so blue, mother bull, with disdain, asked me if it was true? I replied with much shame " it was all just a game " she said " have you nothing productive to do.....?"
