I'm re-posting Katrin's post about Allison Sommers' sick hedgehog here, in case there are some animal lovers who might not be checking Allison's thread. Ludwig is Allison's muse and she would be lost without her. Anyone who has a few bucks to spare can chip in at Save Ludi... or check out the links at the bottom of Katrin's post to see some art you could purchase to help her out. Save Ludwig! Go do something nice today and buy an original, print or book from Allison Sommers. She needs the funds for her hedgehog Ludwig's life-saving surgery. In her words: "My dearly, dearly beloved hedgehog Ludwig has a problem. A life-threatening one. We've exhausted our last pennies getting her diagnosed; the xrays show that her digestive system isn't moving because she has a mass pressing on it-- a tumor. In order to pay for the expensive surgery that will save her life, I come to you, hat in hand, to see whether you might like to buy some artwork. I can't describe how reluctant I am to resort to this, but in this short life of ours, saving Ludwig is better than dignity. And art is the only coin I have to trade. To wit, I will be doing a twofold sale: one, of artworks currently in my possession, and two, of spots in the commission queue [commission spots are gone by now]. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for any interest, RTs, and shares that this post can get. My husband and I are desperate to save Ludwig. Life won't be the same without her." On Allison's blog is a list of available artworks: www.allisonsommers.com/2012/02/a-reluctant-but-desperate-plea-for-ludwig.htmlHer Etsy store: www.etsy.com/shop/asommersHer Society 6 Store: society6.com/allisonsommersHer Flotsam book: de.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2299569A friend has set up a donation page: fundly.com/saveludi

I'm really sad, I had to put my best friend Cody to sleep. I've had him since he was two months old, even though I have my twin boys, the house is very quiet and lonely without Cody. Attachments:

Russ sorry to hear about this, despite how over the top, in my opinion, some people go about there pets, I can totally relate. They are indeed part of the family. Was Cody a Bichon Frise?

Personality indeed, our childhood dog was a Bichon. We got her on Christmas and my sister named her Frosty, she was with us for almost 16 years and was put down during my last round of exams and my parents didn't have the heart to tell me until after commencement. All the best

Really sorry to hear this. It is super hard to loose a loyal friend. Time heals though, so does a new puppy. All my Best, Caleb

what kind of dog is that origo? judging by the size of the head/paws i'm assuming he's going to get a lot bigger.
this thread always delivers.
