I'm headed back to Colorado and my old stomping grounds at Thanksgiving. Should I truly cave and finally submit to trying to purchase a Josh Keyes piece after many years of lurking??? To do so might only mean the end of my marriage, my little boy not getting any Christmas gifts, and me in debt enough for all 2011. Of course the previous listing just jokes to a degree, but you all know what I mean...

Whoever outbid me on the Ewelina Ferruso is really lucky. Maybe she takes commissions?

I thought so too. Pulled it from Gizmodo...
"Created by Uysal Mehmet Ali, this clothespin pinching Earth is part of a contemporary art sculpture exhibit at the Parc de Chaudfontaine, Belgium. Off camera, to the right, you can see Earth's nipple clamps. Kinky."

I hesitated far too long on Jacub Gagnon's piece for Beyond Eden "His Birden" and before that I didn't even inquire about "The King" but had the same feeling after I saw it was sold. I am really actually bummed about this, but it just wasn't meant to be, I guess. But no three strikes.
Oh and if a fellow member grabbed "His Birden" congrats to you. It's a great piece

Distorted JPEG paintings. Pretty interesting concept. The artist is Andy Denzler.

Tauba Auerbach. Seeing this.... www.standardoslo.no/v1/exhibition.php...has convinced me that I must have a fold painting. I suspect that this will be a bit of a mission that could take some time!

Ive always have enjoyed her work, but these are on a whole different level. that probably makes quite a few of us. her work is eyeblowing.. is it any wonder she's been affected by her own work ... in the process of creating it... Yes, it was actually shipped in the original packaging, just a freak accident. Another heavier item hit it and pushed the cardboard and print upwards, crinkling it.

Post office just destroyed my "Saying Goodbye" print Thank goodness for insurance, but it still doesn't feel good. I can't wait to finally get my Geddes cluster print. Its on its way back here as we speak. It came to Sweden post didn't notify me and they sent it back to Australia, Soph got it, and sent it back. I just hope the extra miles don't put it at risk

Thinking I've never heard of free-lensing and am exited to play around with DSLR when I get some free time this coming weekend. Appears that in doing so some pretty unique things occur with the depth of field. Check out the piece here

Am currently working on a large body of work, 10-13 pieces for Thinkspace in April which I will be showing alongside Yosuke Ueno. Hoping to have some strong pieces!

Just been hanging 12 pieces. But before this will make your jaws drop, it was mainly tiny pieces, and I also must confess that my part was more like standing a few feet away and saying "more to the left", "we should switch those around" or something like that . Pictures should follow.

SOTHEBY’S auction of Southeast Asian paintings in Hong Kong 5x7ft. oil on canvas 2010 Andres Barrioquinto, set a record for his work when his lone entry, “Skulls and Butterflies, fetched HK$620,000, over 15 times the initial low estimate of HK$40,000 given by the auction house.

Is it normal for a gallery to say something is yours and, after you respond in a very timely manner, to never hear a word from them again with followups being ignored? I think I should move on at this point, but will they appear later asking for payment?

CPK: that really stinks I would hope the gallery is just very busy and will get back to you are you able to call them instead of email, I would hate for you to move on then they knock for payment later
