How does 1988 do its previews? I don't think they have a wait list so do they just post all the images on their website the week of the show?

i sure wish i could go! stella's work just grows on me more and more with each of her shows, they seem to be getting "softer" looking, i absolutely love the works in the preview... if anyone is actually going next week, i would really appreciate if you could pick up a print for me ("lovely day")... i just HAVE to have it, i'm so in love with it, she looks like an angel, sigh.. i would pay for it of course, lol... please PM me if you could do me the favor, i'd be super grateful! thanks!

I wonder who "Once" went to? That was my favorite that I just missed out on. I also really like "Wednesday". I think I bought "Nuri" ;D I was in such a rush to get to a computer I was out of breath(caught in traffic), I hope the girl on the phone got all my info.

Can someone explain how the preview worked? I didnt get an email? I e-mailed G1988 last week and was assured I was on the list. Dont they send it to everyone at once and have a free for all? Could anyone send me a link (maybe via PM if you're timid?) lol I'm sure all the stuff I'd want is gone already. Bummer!

g1988silentspring88.blogspot.com/they sent an email a few days ago with the link. they tell you when they make the images live, and you have to remember. there's still some nice stuff available unless they sold at the opening.

Added: After looking, for the most part it's all lovely, but as I expected Waiting in Dreams was the only one that makes me want to sell my car and ride a bike to work in order to get it. Of course it's sold and I'm probably better off for it. haha

News: I have heard that ALL of the Stella #5 chase prints and drawings are no longer available. Apparently the gallery KNOWS which packages contained the bonuses... They were given out to all attendees of Friday's show who purchased the mini set. AND they were allowed to purchase MORE than 1 set at a time.
I have been trying to get through on the phone to G1988 SF or LA to confirm. I've heard directly from a source that attended the show on Friday... but he could be mistaken...
So the Luke Chueh mini set was given out in sequential order... but Stella's was given out in preferential order. This really sucks. It's such BS. I have always held G1988 in high regard, so this is really a shock to me. So if you're planning on buying multiple sets (like I was) in hopes of striking gold, save your money. Buy just one.
Slight chance I could be misinformed... if anyone finds out for sure, please let us know.

that would be so not cool. but it wouldnt surprise me. she is xtrmly popular, but i dont think 500 units will sell out and i'd rather see them go to ppl than sit in a box. that said, they prob figure that alot of dedicated folks who made the journey should be rewarded (some in addition to layout a few Gs for a piece). i wonder if in their "system" they know how much each individual has spent. based on that -- it wouldn't be hard to reward a disproportionate with a chase (or two). sounds like a lot of happy folks on friday night.

Uh. I don't know where you are getting this info but I know it's not true. I went to the show and bought a set without getting the chase or the drawing. I saw people buying multiple sets without getting either one either. Also I don't know what you are meaning about luke's chase. Gallery 1988's one of the better galleries out there so I hope you are sure before making such shocking and serious accusations.

agree w/ sleep. lets give them the benefit of doubt. otherwise, you'll drive yourself (and potentially others) crzy.
btw, which piece did you score sleep? Once? Lose Unfounded? or Lovely Day?
