So wall is limited. How do you store your purchased original art (other than hanging it on your wall)? Do you rotate the artworks that hang on your wall? Do you buy prints? If so, do you collect them or simply buying them for collection without even thinking about hanging them on wall?

I rotate pieces. I use a bedroom in my home as a storage / staging area. I have been converting my dining room into a gallery space with proper lighting etc. I also have a flat file for prints and paper works that aren't framed yet. In addition I still have portfolios for prints and other art items like stickers etc.

I also use an extra bedroom and lean the paintings against the wall. And have a flat file for prints.

I also use an extra bedroom and lean the paintings against the wall. And have a flat file for prints. I do exactly the same. I also try to only buy pieces that I want to frame and display, and have them framed as soon as possible. I have to admit that my flat file is overflowing, as are my three portfolios, but the last year or so I have slowed my acquisition of prints to a trickle. Sadly, I have so many paintings in the spare bedroom that it is difficult to move around. I just promised to photograph a piece for another collector, and couldn't find it. My wife and daughter are going to be out of the house for a few days, and I promised myself that I would use the solitude to reorganize my collection.

I have a few large canvases hanging at friends places. They're not insured there, but they're not worth much either (yet!
