Less is more for 2009. Will be looking at purchasing with more meaning for me personally instead of just buy, buy, buy. Murakami and Hirst lithographs will probably be the bigger names for me next year. I would also like to see more artists release a smaller run of editions or consider additional canvas prints. Personally would rather a dozen LARGE scale pieces around the home, than every inch of white space smothered with art choking each other. I love my white walls and recently started to flat file some of my collection, and that is a waste for sure. Will definitely be more disciplined, and it is already happening, not including the Chris Berens show....hopefully.

I just meant that pretty much every piece I've tried to buy this year has already been sold, so I've ended up with pretty much nothing. HOWEVER, this year has one chance left to redeem itself.

Just finished hanging up about half of my collection after having my walls painted recently. I actually laid every piece i own out on the floor of my dining room and took an overhead shot from the top of my stairs. A really cool pic! I'll post it up as soon as i get home from set.

Would love a piece by Herbert Baglione, know he has a show at Laz at the moment, but financially it´s not the right time.
Next year for sure!

managed to hit most of my wants for last year, so hopefully i don't hex things for 2009 by saying that i'm gonna concentrate my efforts on the following; josh keyes chloe early matzu mtp but i probably won't be able to pass up on any good opportunities with the following either; grant barnhart jason thielke charming baker jacob magraw cody hudson matthew feyld nate frizzell no new commissions planned as yet, but i think the first of the year may be with mark warren jaques if he is into it. we'll see.

humble plans this year - but I would like to find a nice, but smaller Andrew Schoultz, maybe a David Choong Lee piece and no doubt a few from artists I haven't heard of yet.
Will keep an wandering eye out for the following too: Acorn Lucy McLauchlan Amy Casey Damon Soule Mel Kadel Oliver Vernon Herbert Baglione

Benvan, if you're looking for a nice Schoultz I would contact Morgan Lehman. They showed him in a solo at Pulse Miami and had several nice smaller works. Pretty sure many of them are still available.

2 Simkins, Ian Francis, Larger Keyes, Larger Naoto, and maybe some newer contemporary works.(as I see Hung is on the same path, along with many others, I am sure this will be a very tall order, but we shall see.)
