I'm going to ratchet down a ton as well so I'll just have to settle for Faile and Bast originals

Wild cards... because you just never know:

I plan on consolidating and getting out of debt.
After that, I hope to get a nice Josh Keyes.
That is all.

cheers to this forum, I came across the wonderful arts of Kelly Vivanco. I'm left with two remaining custom mellows in the waiting for 2009.

I'm so glad you like Kelly's work! She really is something special – and still super affordable. She has an extremely busy year scheduled.

I saw her schedule too. I'm looking to grabbing a mini painting from her, maybe an owl themed.

I would love a Tin original, but I don't know how likely that is, and something by Tessar. Before any of that I need to get some framing done, buy a car (which might come under the category of art as the one I want is a lovely Italian design ) and save some more money in case of redundancy as the whole economy seems to be collapsing. These things coupled with the drop in exchange rate against the dollar means fewer purchases all round....

Now that 09 is here I have to say it will be a slow art year for me ( thanks to a kitchen remodel ) I will be chasing 1 more tin original ( 2 now maybe one of his amazing drawings ) as always the Keyes piece as I think I am 999 on the waiting list, and I would love somethigng by tessar as well, and another mark bron non comm. work.
The to do list is very large, need to get Shepard HPM framed, tin prints framed, and to pull everything off the walls and fill holes and paint.
Also possible one more comm. but dont want to jinx

Please disregard above post, I AM BUSTING AT THE SEEMS, 09 is here Tin is out of the way ( 1 of 5 limited edt. box which is drawing and painting as well as prints )
Anyway I have pushed everything ( even a Keyes should it come available ) to begin paying off what may be my only art purchase of the year, lets say when I get it paid for I will let you know but, everyone is safe from art, only thing is frame shepard HPM as I have to get that done.
THANK YOU 2009

This was a great year for me art-wise, although I still have a few unachieved goals that I will have to push down the road... Andrew Hem: Picked up " In the Rouens" early this year at Nucleus. Travis Louie: Sadly, my cash flow and Travis' workflow did not coordinate well this year. Edwin Ushiro: Not yet... I loved a couple of pieces in his solo show, but once again my finances were otherwise occupied at the time. Andy Kehoe: Same old story... Ericailcane: Picked up an etching – I've liked the work he's shown in Europe much better than what he's sent here. Not sure why that is. Chris Berens: Miraculously attained " First Snow, Guide Me Home." Drooling over his Sloan Fine Art show, but I can't go there right now. Tessar Lo: Four new pieces, two from Roq la Rue and two from LeBasse. Sarah Joncas: " Dinner and a Movie" Nimit Malavia: Not this year. Martin Wittfooth: Waiting for Roq la Rue next year. Moki: Alas... Kelly Vivanco: " Tune," " Curious Bouquet" and " Crossing View" Acorn: Got a whole bunch of wonderful little drawings. How did you guys do?

managed to hit most of my wants for last year, so hopefully i don't hex things for 2009 by saying that i'm gonna concentrate my efforts on the following; josh keyes chloe early matzu mtp but i probably won't be able to pass up on any good opportunities with the following either; grant barnhart jason thielke charming baker jacob magraw cody hudson matthew feyld nate frizzell no new commissions planned as yet, but i think the first of the year may be with mark warren jaques if he is into it. we'll see. managed to get a large josh keyes and a pretty huge chloe early piece. had some chances at a few matzu pieces that i really liked, but the opportunities just didn't come at times when i was feeling flush enough to buy. got another matthew feyld too from his show at thinkspace. as for the others listed here, no dice.
