did you pick up the whole installation piece?
if so I am doing one of those small slow claps and raising out of my chair slowly while i rise I am speeding up my claps... one word .....bravo....if not still some great pieces. I have a dream of one day paying an 100% an installation piece or being able to pick up a whole show...... but for now I will probably only be able to afford to buy the whole Dan Godsell show(go mr.toast)...

Rising Stars Allison Sommers, Terribly Odd, Wolfgang Ryan. G1988 and cerasoli-lebasse 5. Ill and Commandax - both the Chris Berens look amazing by photo, congratulations. Would really like to see one of his pieces in person, the technique seems crazy, and I am really curious how it translates.
Seems like quite a year for everybody!

We both flew up there for the opening, and I can testify that they're even more amazing in real life. I honestly wish I was still at the gallery – I don't think I could ever get bored of looking at them.

LOVE that Ian Francis piece. I really need to try to pick something of his up. I've been a fan of his stuff for too long to not have something at this point. Then again, I could say that about Viner too.

1. pick your top 3 acquisitions this year: Sylvia Ji Chet Zar tin 2. Name your biggest disappointments - missing 2 exquisite viveros pieces - the theft that occured at certain galleries this year 3. Best experiences where do i begin: - getting to know tin and acquiring 7 of his pieces over the course of the year. - getting to know krista and acquiring 6 of her pieces, plus her kindness in begining 3 pieces of a commission for me - the sweetness of Jan Corey - Scott Radke's infinite kindness - Tom's amazing thoughtfulness and friendship - seeing The Wish make it's way into a print - countless stories of friendship from artists, galleries and collectors which made this a tremendous year for me. 4. Rising Stars Victor Castillo Brian M. Viveros Krista Huot Tin 5. Falling Stars this seems to be a loaded question that no one wants to answer for me, it's a small handful of galleries that disappointed me this year for various reasons.

Solar... you are the king of large pieces. All those pick ups are huge in size and quality. The Duality is a beautiful in the photo as it was when you picked it up in person! I get dibs if you ever sell that Ian Francis!!!
masao... The Tin is gorgeous, down to the details on the wall paper. The Chet Zar I actually wanted when Jan unwrapped it a few days before the clown show... but now I know it went to a very good home. Congrats! I'll post soon, but this year is still not over for 2 more days...
