Hi All, If anybody can post pictures of the 2 Pryce Lee pieces that Anonymous Gallery have at Art Basel Miami I would be very grateful. I contacted the gallery and apparently both are "on hold" anonymousgallery.com/art/upcoming-exhibitions/

Went to Untitled fair today... I can see why you like his work.. Really great concept... Actually quite beautiful... Lot of people around them when I was in the booth... Going back tomorrow as I'm staying over the road.. Will post a couple of pics if someone hasn't beat me to it...

Two pieces in the above show: Pryce Lee Empire State, 2013 Acrylic, Glass, bronze, bullets (7 elements) 51 inches x 78 inches (variable) $8,500 Empire continues the artist’s Innocent Bystander series based on specific events in which people, in the wrong place at the wrong time, are unintentionally hit during a shooting. While the storylines vary based on the actual incident (drive-by, school shooting, police or military casualty), they are rooted in these tragic events that happen with alarming frequency. Pryce Lee Exit Guapa Cardulelis, 2013 Acrylic, Glass, taxidermy bird 13 x 10 inches $3,500 The piece emphasizes the often invisible barrier that exists in the natural world in the same context as it does in humanity, with the ever constant battle in striving for freedom. The bird (the ultimate expression of freedom) demonstrates the fragility and vulnerability between life and death and the consequences that may occur by not looking beyond the obvious... BIO: PRYCE LEE is a New York based artist whose work interchanges between social commentary, personal experience and actual events. LEE experiments with diverse concepts, techniques and mediums to create visually arresting work that juxtaposes the boundaries and challenges of beauty, life and death. From single, autonomous pieces to large, site specific installations, LEE's work is centered around space and motion, and provokes individual interpretation. LEE's work has been exhibited at Central Saint Martins and recently shown at the UNTITLED Art Fair. His work will be presented at Art14London and his "Barred" installation will be presented as a special project during the fair. In March, during the Armory Show, LEE will open his first solo exhibition in New York.

Nice to see his work expanding in addition to the Single Shot series. Definitely not a one-hit-wonder. Good closeup shot showing the texture and contrast of the grey "pavement" and gold surfaces. The bird pieces I find too difficult to look at.
