I've just found out the died yesterday. I've always found his work rather wonderful and it was always on my 'lottery win list.'
I went to a session, at The Baltic, of his "One Million Years" and found it really powerful, moving, funny, trippy. Mainly trippy... And slightly dreamy

Will, if you haven't, you need to get up to DIA:Beacon in your travels. Large Kawara installation, AMAZING Robert Ryman installation, good Chamberlain overview, many Agnes Martin works, four Serra ellipses, and a Carl Andre retrospective(among other things) housed in a beautiful old box factory with design work by Robert Irwin.
Great place, one of my favorite to really spend time with art.
