I love that image on the wall, the sentiment works wonderfully on the street.
It doesn't work as a print for me, neither the image or the sentiment.

absolutely agree with you on that fletch. a nice c-type photo print of the mural piece he made for the love letter project would have been very nice though.

very generous gesture by Steve on his recent print release:
"Right before the prints were offered I changed the price from $450 to $475 to cover additional printing expenses, but 4 prints were sold at the lower price before I announced the sale. So I am lowering the price to the original $450 and offering everybody that paid $475 either A) a signed copy of A Love Letter For You, which contains the wall the print is based on, or B) a refund of 25.00, via paypal.
Let us know. Sorry for the incompetence, I'm making steady progress everyday
Best regards Steve"

Steve Powers Espo is currently producing work for his first solo show in New York in 7 years, @ Joshua Liner Gallery, from September 6 to September 29, 2012. Here are some WIP photos he shared on his website recently: I would've waited longer to have a show, I saw no point in showing with a gallery that wasn't Deitch Projects, but Josh has been working and selling hard, and I decided his gallery is a good place for me to continue my story.
The story is I'm drawing my life daily. Some of the drawing ends up as murals, some as metaltations, some as the large paintings that are my focus now, but it all starts with me and a ballpoint pen rambling as writing. I strive for Verity and Sincerity, it's the most I can do. It's the least you should ask of your local artist.
At the sign shop, we have had the good fortune to have working with us for the last 2 weeks the legendary Justin Green. We've managed to (almost) finish 4 large paintings that strike a balance between speed and technique. The themes that are emerging in the works are Love, Marriage, Jokes about death, Success, Failure, Drinking, Eating, Art and work, Bob Dylan, Demon Wrestling, and Sex (just a little, like 5 minutes out of a a day). Some are bragging, some are praying, some are fooling, and maybe some are doing all three at once. I'll stick to praying, maybe with some bragging and fooling to balance it out.

Hey Sal. I contacted the V1 Gallery about one of Steve's pieces, and was informed that the piece had just been returned to him for his upcoming show. They also offered to contact Steve and try and arrange a sale for me, and that the price would be $11,000. Not sure what I expected, but this clearly wasn't it. Perhaps I waited too long and this is yet another artist whose work is beyond my income to afford. Too bad ... his art is growing on me.
