since i've been out of work for the last 3 months, i've missed the office banter, and of course at this time of year, the SECRET SANTA!!
...so i thought why not do a secret santa right here on the artchival forum?!
we only have a few days of christmas posting left for pre christmas deliveries, so lets get right on it....
some ground rules.
a. its a secret santa... you all know the score, but what you do is buy a present (in secret) for another person that is participating. in turn you recieve a present from someone who is participating.
b. you must have 5 posts at time of writing this under your belt to participate.
c. add your name in a post below along with the words 'i'm in' or something like that....
d. immediately after posting, send me a pm with your address details (so i can pass them on to whoever draws your number). this confirms your participation.
e. $20 / £13 target present value. (not including shipping / postage)
f. cut off for all entries / participation posts to be completed by sunday 8pm gmt / noon pacific standard time.
g. when all entries are in, and i have your pm'd address details. i will perform a random name drawing, and will notify you by pm asap who you have drawn to buy for and their address details.
h. you go buy something art related around the $20 / £13 mark for the person you've drawn.
i. try and get it shipped / posted on monday to arrive in time for christmas!! if it arrives late, it could cheer you up from those post christmas blues! either buy in person and ship yourself, or buy online and ship direct.
j. suggestions for if you draw an international participant - you can sign up to amazon prime in respective countries to get free delivery for a month in that country... you can cancel the subscription straight after so you don't incur costs - trust me, i've done it with amazon usa to send something for a friend in the usa. i got free 2 day shipping. art books are always good presents, and with amazon you can add gift wrap etc....
further suggestions - tiny showcase and 20x200 and little paper planes all do some nice prints for around this mark...
k. have a happy christmas!! ;D
i guess that wraps it up for the rules....
hope that lots of you join in.
