Always loved the animated graffiti but man, their drawings in this group show are pretty dope too. Some of the work is old in that show so these might be old too. I'm not up on their gallery work. I wonder how much these go for.

The last one is on sale at Lazinc for 2,800 GBP. They have a few other drawings around the same price.

i recognize most of the drawings from the outsiders and this show from his solo shows (these two arent the better pieces... as alot of them were awesome). i really wish thes drawings weren't priced so high as i would have liked to get a few - & i think they would have sold fast i highly recommend his book (a bit disappointed by my signed copy as it came in banged up and you need a magniying glass to find the signature) www.studiocromie.org/gallery.php?id_art=56&id=216

I'm kicking myself I didn't pick one up when these were £1500. I remember seeing a couple cheap on ebay a way back.

I like this new mural from Blu for the FAME Festival ( showthread). Hopefully it's part of the new animation he and Ellis are working on... "If you’re new to FAME festival, you probably dont know that Grottaglie is 10 minutes far from Taranto. if you’ve been in Taranto, you probably remember that the city has a massive ugly factory called ILVA (one of the biggest steel factory in europe). this factory is destroying the territory and killing a lot of workers ’cause of its big lack of security measures and high environmental pollution. the direct consequence is that Taranto has one of the highest rate of death by cancer in italy. As a plus, the smartest politicians from Grottaglie’s town council allowed, back in ‘96, the construction of a very filthy special wastes dump right outside the city. they did not inform the people, they did not ask anybody’s opinion, they just did it. i wish i could wonder WHY they did it."

I'm travelling down to FAME by train and have gone out of my way to look at blu walls when I've been in cities he's visited. The Berlin and Prague pieces are just extraordinary when you stand, dwarfed, in front of them. His incredible vision is amplified so much by the massive scale he works at that it's almost totally overwhelming. Best street artist in the world? Can't be far off.
Will try to get some pics of the remaining Bologna walls on Wednesday.

Nothing new but here's blu going gigantic in Berlin, the JR eyes are long gone and I think the piece looks better for their absence: and the detail in this is just extraordinary, each wee fella is unique and involved in hos own despaerate struggle to hold the leviathan together. I hadn't appreciated the magnificence of this one until I stood below it: Gaza Strip in Prague (from the NAMES festival last year): Will post pics from Bologna in a few days where, a very reliable source tells me, there are still a few pieces up.. More pics on my flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/8063338@N08/

Bologna, and with huge thanks to blu for the locations of these pieces as I'd not have found them otherwise: Blu with San San is sticking to a relatively straight bad bankers theme albeit with a great piggy bank twist: wheras blu conjurs up some typically gruesome and not a little deranged imagery: Big piece on the vie stalingrado railway bridge. No access to the other side so this was the best I could do: Collab featuring blu, erica il caine, dem, rekel, bklyz, mamatuska. Have no idea what's going on here but it's all very disturbing. And every expression on every creature is perfect.. About a third of an immense blu/il caine piece. Detail below.

i'm loving your reportage, mike. i've liked blu's work for a while, but seeing these recent pictures you've posted i think i can honestly say i love his work. this is so amazing... and the second pic down with the green guy coming out of the white guy's ass-side is a fantastic detail. when do you get to FAME?

Thanks, glad you're liking the photos. It's been awesome seeing all this stuff for real.
Yeah, the weirdess going on in that san collab is extraordinary even by blu's standards. Full set of pics on my flickr...
He's up there with the very best is blu. And san is becoming something of a favourite too. His show at stolenspace featured some incredible work, none of which had sold when I last looked, which is pretty amazing given its quality. Plus, his street work is second to few..
Have a long train journey down the east coats of Italy tomorrow, overnight in Birendsi, and then trundle into Grottaglie midday friday..
