Really like this Camilla D'Errico tattoo. Though it's colour is subtle, it's design is rockin'!

That octopus is rad! I've been contemplating about what tattoo(s) to get done.. I haven't had any yet, and I know it's a smart idea to start small, however, I'd so so so love to get this painting by my father done: ...or some sort of variation/take on it. My main issue so to speak, is I have nooo idea of who to get to do it. Does anyone have any reccomendations of UK tattoo artists who are at the top of their game? I'd want it to be done masterfully to give credit to the original piece, after all I'll have to live with it for the rest of my life! Thanks in advance

My dad's name is Peter Maw, although it's highly unlikely you can find anything about him on the net (if you do please let me know!)...Stopped painting professionally around 88ish...Although he did accomplish quite a lot when he was in his prime, one man show in Cork Street, member of the Royal Acadamy, ect.. Luckily he kept hold of a fair few big paintings which bless the walls I live in.. The piece above is ~3.5x5ft and was never returned/stolen after an exhibition in Brighton in the late 80s.. ...and yes the painting I'm doing at the moment is heavily inspired by that piece in particular! Only a week or so left until it should be finished hopefully!

I disagree! you will only want more after your first and it looks way better to have it larger scale, especially for that painting! Its awesome by the way- very very cool.
I can see that fitting on a nice thigh/leg piece. I don't have any info on artists in UK, but def. do your research and then go for it!

I agree , go big if you're gonna go for it . As long as you've thought about it first don't worry about it and go for it ! My first tattoo is my entire left leg & I am happy I did it that way .

This is a gorgeous tatoo. I wish I had the tolerance for pain to put something like that on my body.
