I am putting together my presentation still for the "Pop Surrealism" genre, and was thinking about what pieces to show from each artist. I don't just want to show what I think is good, but instead what was a pivotal piece for each artist.
This lead me to thinking how good a thread this could be. From any artist, what do you believe to be an important piece? Rather than what work of art is just popular at the time, what work should be shown alongside the artists name in the history books so to speak.

I think a piece that is most iconic for that artist. Usually a piece that might show in a museum or might be chosen as a print. Usually a larger piece vs. a smaller piece. Something instantly recognizable.
