Since the question was asked and I think some of you have posted your art before, why don't we consolidate it all here. This is for mainly new artists who have never shown in a gallery before and want some critique of their art. That way we don't clutter the other sections.

"Golden Shower #1" by Me LMAO!!! That is hilarious! You need to make it into a print, preferably on canvas, 40 x 30 . Finished these a while ago, and posted pics here in the past. Figured it would be cool to repost and get new feedback/advice. Old Man Kinsey-Acrylic on canvas My homage to Kuksi I just started working on a new mixed media piece, called False Prophets. It measures 7 feet across and deals with Greek Gods. Should blow my previous mixed media piece out of the water.

First of all, "Golden Shower #1" is genius rhinomilk! Tooooo funny! I run an online t-shirt shop and that would make for a super funny tee! Secondly, Steveinca...I believe I told you this before, but that Kuski homage is absolutely stellar! So good! The acrylic piece is great too! So, I have been doing a lot of digital paintings lately to try and come up with some solid concepts for future paintings. Here's one that I just finished last night, it's called "Elodie."

I actually started out just making my own art, but the site and other activities took over. I am getting back into it now though. Any crits or help people could give me would be great, I have tough skin no worries. I am not getting any help in the art dept at my school that is for sure. Just a tad nervous posting these. Tor Johnson - acrylic on paper 9x12 Smear -acrylic on paper 9x12 Oliver -acrylic on wood 5x7 (one in a series of 30 little portraits) Rustbunny - custom Grabbit And a couple of the digital portraits I started out with. Jovanka, Editor of Rue-Morgue Magazine Steve Niles (30 days of Night, etc)

Hi- I asked in another thread if it was ok to share some of my work here. Basically, I've been painting for a while now, but haven't quite made the attempt to, nor being successful at, getting my work out there. Hey, someone has to start somewhere right?! I'm just not sure where that "there" is. I'm open to suggestions and of course, discussion about commissions and/or how to get some proper representation. Regardless, I really appreciate your checking out the work. Here's some of my stuff: "You as Fiction, I as Deceiver" Oil on Panels, 2003 "Idol Glitch" (series) Oil on Panels, 2004 "Head" Oil on Panel, 2004 "Head" (detail) Oil on Panel, 2004 "Mary" Oil on Panel, 2004 "Mary" (detail) Oil on Panel, 2004 "None" Oil on Panel, 2004 "None" (detail) Oil on Panel, 2004 "Premonitory Design Apparatus" Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Premonitory Design Apparatus" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Premonitory Design Apparatus" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Premonitory Design Apparatus" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Premonitory Design Apparatus" (moving) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Autopilot Disengage" Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Autopilot Disengage" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Autopilot Disengage" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Autopilot Disengage" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "Autopilot Disengage" (progress shot) Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 "I want to explode back-and-forth. Forever." Mixed Media on Canvas, 2009 (sorry for the crappy iPhone shot)

Thanks svenman, I really appreciate that. I am like that least pretentious person out there, but I have to agree with you... I do feel like this work *could* be picked up at some point, despite any real breakthroughs or contacts right now. I wonder if a "cold call" or website referral would prove to be any luck though. Sometimes I feel like the Art-mafia has this stuff on lock down, so it's definitely daunting I suppose. Regardless, making a ton of work is key. Thanks again!

looked around, and this seems to be the place to post some artwork up? i know, how terribly tacky of me to post art on my first post. my apologies! some of you may know me (i see a lot of familiar names), some may not. i am an LA based artist, making the rounds of various galleries and such. my work, as of late, has been focused mainly on a foundation of pen and ink with some form of color wash or watercolors involved. if you are interested in checking out any more of my work, please feel free to check out my myspace page. here is my newest piece i just finished. it's for a show in SF at Rocketworld/IWG (the show is mainly a custom toy show) that opens on 4/10/09. there is also a long-ish story i wrote about the picture but i won't bore you with it here. the name of this piece is "the remains of the last Great Singing Walrus". it measures 8" x 10". it was done with pen and ink and watercolor on watercolor paper. i hope you enjoy it.

Here's a picture that I did for this weekend's Gag me with a Toon show. This'll be my first time showing anywhere, so I'm very excited about it! And I think that you're going to be showing there too, El Maz. Your piece looks great, hopefully we'll get a chance to talk at the show.

Oh thank you so much for having this thread, I did come up with one of my paintings on my first post in this forum and at another thread but this definitely feels more comfortable, so again and again thanks. I am somehow dividing my work into two broad sections 1.fairytales 2.portraits. Here is some from 'fairytales'...I hope some of you might like them. empty city - acrylic on board we came from the ground - oil on canvas beach foam baby - watercolor/ink/oil on canvas
