Leroy, excellent piece, i'll bet it really "pops" in person! Here's a couple of my new pieces for a show in Phoenix this weekend. some of you may have seen my stuff before, but i'll humbly doubt i have nearly enough "cred" to justify my own thread. "The Royal Timekeeper" framed acrylic on Arches hot press. "The Death Swami releases souls at The End of Days" Gouache on Arches hot press "The Candlemaker" Acrylic on panel

Thanks Svenman, I hope that someone does. I'm mostly hoping to make some good contacts though, and see if I can arrange some more shows coming up! But yeah, I would love to see my Straberry Shortcake picture go to a good home.

And I think that you're going to be showing there too, El Maz. Your piece looks great, hopefully we'll get a chance to talk at the show. wow leroy! that piece is hot fire man! i think you really captured the essence of the show. my favorite part is the subtle detail of the ninja turtle skull and the rubik's cube. i can't wait to see this one in person. this is your first time showing anywhere? wow, you are going to do very well in the gallery art world if you keep knocking out pieces like this one. i actually stumbled upon your blog when i was trying to post up something about this show. if i recall you had some comic style works on there, right? the batman crouching down piece was my favorite. stellar work! i can't wait to see where your art career takes you!

Thanks Fplus. I've seen your work before, and it's cool to see some of the other work you've posted here. It's cool looking stuff, and you totally deserve a thread!
And thanks El Maz. This is my first show, and I've only been painting for a short time, but I've been a working artist for a long time now. I've just been drawing comic books, which is a pretty different field! I'm pretty pumped to get a chance to jump into this.

Thanks a lot Chet and gman. I love your work, Chet, it would be great to see one in person. I have no idea how you manage to get so much texture and depth!

Ehmm I did this painting lately, it was the first time I tried to paint huge (100 x 150 cm, yes that is huge for me ) and just wanted to share. It is oil on canvas, and then underneath I re-did it digitally. Hope you enjoy. lost at sea underwater lost

Here's a picture I just finished. It's a pretty small one, I think maybe 13 and a half by 6 inches. It was a lot of fun, and I've got a few more that I'm planning as time permits. I think I'll have to stop posting them here after this one though...I may be getting close to spamming this thread with this stuff!

Hey guys, I am new here and not real good with posting pictures on forums. I figure this is a good way to introduce my work. My name is Kevin. I paint things. Sometimes it ends up cool. www.Kevin-Hebb.com

Newb alert. Just heard about this site today on Gigposters.com. Great stuff. I was looking for an outsider type art thread but I'm not seeing one. Maybe there isn't one. Sorry if this isn't a good fit, let me know if I'm just missing the thread. Love the work on this site. Here's some of my hack work.

welcome phoondaddy, and thanks for sharing your work. yep, you found the right place. there is an introduction thread elsewhere in the general discussion folder if you want to let people know more about you.

Being a lazy so and so, I hadn't seen this thread before. Some really good work on here. It also gives me a chance to plug this piece that is currently being auctioned off for the Helen Bamber Foundaton (if anyone is into Antony Micallef, they may be aware of the charity.). first illustration of the year. work in progress. digital, since i don't have paint with me atm. critique from you guys, who know what you like best, would be lovely. thank you (: To be concise.. Cooler colors pop better when placed on top of warmer ones. Work on color temperature. Also, based on the level of finish of the face, the rest will be worked on... I would address her left breast. And the background could use more thought. An organic floral pattern could look pretty cool. Just a thought.
