Steve, Pikey and the rest,
continue to give me negative karma points in the game of life it doesn't translate into anything else... I rather not continue to support a board that alienates artists, supports street art thieves, and attacks galleries for defending their artist, and their livelihood .... Steve I said it before the talent is there the execution is flawed A bunch of us knew about hive and the price since 2008 and that is why you had bad karma, but you complained so we went over the top to stop the whining and not drag what you did into it, what we saw as a, for the lack of a better term, douchey move (we really thought that you were doing only one piece and that was it) ... and for the rest that post with out doing research or thinking you are making a point by comparing apples to oranges well thanks for turning this into kidrobot 2.0... oh and I didn't label myself evil for nothing...
oh and that polar bear should become shirt!!!!

Hi guys. I think everyone who has chimed in so far as made their points clear. Perhaps we should refrain from letting things get even more personal. I don't mind others who have additional points stating what they feel but going back and forth and taking things to the extreme doesn't help foster discussion.
One of the downsides of the karma system is that you can't tell who is smiting and who is exalting. Let's just say that not all your assumptions about it are correct mr. evil. As I have said before, a way to fairly use the system is to smite or exalt ONCE only for each comment someone has made or action, instead of a million times over and over and over again. Also, another way to avoid misunderstanding is to avoid smiting someone just because you think they smited you as that is not always the correct assumption. In any event, I know these suggestions are easier said than done but it is what it is...

I haven't "smited" anyone since I've been on this board... I'm still new here and I'm still unclear about what Karma is or why it matters. Apparently I'm negative, and yet my life goes on.
Thanks for clearing some of that up for me Sleepboy!

choy, come on man, you're telling me that you're not responsible for the 17 karma points i've lost in the past two days. Regardless, i don't care. Not sure who you're talking about when you say "we went over the top to stop the whining". Even though I asked and asked, Sleep was professional enough to not tell me who was constantly smiting me two years ago, but he did tell me it was one person. So, I don't believe you when you say "we". As far as me "attacking" Joshua, that was far from an attack. I have nothing against him, but I call it like i see it. Kris and I spoke about the motivation behind the pricing of the homage piece 2 years ago, and the conversation ended pleasantly. Do you know why i priced it so high, or what my intentions were to do with the money if by some miraculous chance it did sell? No, you don't. I don't sweat the small stuff anymore, and to me, that's exactly what this is. I'm not going to smite you anymore, or even harbor ill will or thoughts toward you, even if you continue to do so to me.
I live in the suburbs now, and a few hours a week i like to put on some pink floyd, go into my garage and create these pieces because it's therapeutic to me and gives me a sense of accomplishment. With a lot of hard work and time, I've accomplished a lot in my career and i've deservedly reaped the rewards of it. Not saying i'm wealthy by any means, but i'm living just fine. My livelihood doesn't depend on these creations, so i'm not in it for the money. If I was, why would i post pics of the piece, knowing that Josh frequents this forum? I would've kept my mouth shut, said yes to the many commission requests and went on with my day. I like to show the pieces because i'm proud of what i've made, regardless of how similar in style or technique they are, or where the inspiration for the pieces come from. If I could, i would tag them with a "Not for sale" tag, but i'm not in a position to request that.
All in all, you don't have to like me, my art or whatever else. I don't know you, for all I know you're a good guy, but I do think you come off as pushy and pompous at times, at least in this forum. I'm blessed with a beautiful and loving family, i've got a great girl and a roof over my head. I'm happy, and that's the most important thing to me. I'm going to keep on doing what I do, regardless of what you, Josh or anyone else for that matter says. I'm over this. Take care.

Can you imagine how rich he would be if he had trademarked that phrase like Pat Riley did for "threepeat"?

bram, i love the quotes on your website... "I'm more of a fraud than a Freud" "I'm more an hour forward than Auerbach" "He reminds me of Francis Bacon except his colours lack the vibrancy...he's a sort of streaky Bacon"

Just watched the video (above link) of the great sculpture by KRIS KUKSI. This sculpture is awesome indeed...so, I highly recommend other members to take a look. I assume Kris Kuksi is his real name and not a nickname. Regardless, his work is totally outstanding in every way!! ____________________________________________________ Signed: Robert Singletary__Saturday May 15, 2010__7:57 P.M. (eastern standard time) USA

Moving this here for craww. Hi folks, I'm new to the forums, hopefully I'm posting in the right section Just wanted to say hi and introduce my work. I work both digitally, and using more traditional media - pencil & ink drawings, and paintings in Acrylic. I work mainly on paper, but I'm messing around with found materials at the moment. Currently having fun with some old cutlery drawers, all beaten up wood and metal edges, lovely. These are a couple of pieces I've done recently, both available as limited run 590mm x 410mm giclees: Beekeeper Echo If you're interested in seeing more, please check my website - [a href=" www.craww.com"] www.craww.com[/a] which has just undergone a bit of a revamp and features my full body of work, prints and original paintings, with links to my store 'n' suchlike. I’m also giving away a limited edition “Beekeeper” print to one lucky person. To enter, just sign up for my mailing list at the new web site. (Those already signed up will be automatically entered in the contest). The contest ends at 12:00 midnight PST on June 30, 2010 with the winner being selected and announced by yours truly on July 2, 2010. I'll also be adding a little something to the print, making it a unique one-off. Thanks for taking the time to look. Hope you like what you see!
